Larry Abney was employed at McDonnell Douglas for 21 years and retired as Senior Engineer. Then after intervals of various jobs began another career with Amsted Rail in Granite City, Ill as an Engineer and later retired to become an Instrumentation Consultant which position he now holds.
Larry and his wife Jean have been married 52 years and have two sons, Brian and Brett. Larry has been a Christian since he was 17 years old. He attended Trinity Tabernacle Church holding such offices as Vice-Chairman of the Deacon Board, Adult Sunday School Teacher and Royal Rangers Leader for many years. Later Larry and Jean attended Grace World Outreach church and now attends St. Louis Family Church since 1998. Larry and his family have experienced all the ups and downs every family experiences and at the age of 50 found himself unemployed. Larry had learned to put his faith in trusting the Lord and that’s the God that has kept him employed the last 26 years.
A word from your President – Larry has known my family including my parents since the 1960s. He is a Word of God man and lives by it. He and Jean celebrated a 50 year anniversary a few years back and he will tell you it’s supernatural to be married that long. Be sure to attend this meeting and bring a friend with you. This will be another great meeting. Meetings like this always produce faith and hope.
Ladies are welcome
Our next chapter meeting will be Monday evening April 17th. Put that date on your calendar.
